Most DJ shows require a lot of power because of the complexity of whatever equipment the DJ decides to use.  A lot of venues don’t have the power capabilities to handle these shows.  A power conditioner provides AC power to sensitive electric equipment.  It includes up to 10 outlets and has surge protection and noise filtering.  Many types of power conditioners also provide phone line, cable, and Ethernet conditioning.  While surge protectors protect DJ equipment from sudden bursts of power, power conditions eliminate interference on the line by cleaning the signal.  This can translate to superior audio/video for home theater, better quality cable TV feed, improved modem throughput, and more reliable network operations.
Line noise can result from a number of different factors and can disrupt signal clarity.  The function of these machines is hard to explain, but do know they serve a good purpose.  Anything that helps your equipment run better is worth buying, no matter how much it costs.  If you have a number of different components, the electric signal is going to have a hard time going from component to component without running into snags along the way.  You can’t reduce the amount of components you use because that will lower the quality of your show. 
An excellent power conditioner can make your show better than you had ever imagined because it eliminates any complications that might arise.  Every DJ needs to have a power conditioner among the equipment they use.  Buy two or three to make it even easier to perform without having to worry about the power turning against you.
