Studio mixers

Studio mixers are the same as live sound mixers except they help you determine the right levels for sound you create in a studio.  A lot of big time studios have rooms filled with mixers that can adjust every possible aspect of a song to ensure it’s perfect.  This is often referred to as “studio magic” because it makes the person who’s speaking into the microphone sound better than they would live.  Every imperfection in a performance can be removed and the song as a whole ends up being a smooth finished product.  You might say this is dishonest because it keeps the artist from giving their listeners a chance to hear how they really sound, but it’s the reality of the music business.  Nobody is going to buy a CD that’s filled with imperfect performances.
There are usually groups of people assigned to man the studio mixers to ensure the levels are right at all times.  One error in this area can make a once great sounding song sound like it should’ve never been recorded.  It’s hard to underestimate the importance of studio mixers in the studio recording process.  Without them we would’ve been denied all the great hours of music we’ve heard in recent years.  We would have limited options as to what kind of music we could create.  The music industry as a whole is better as a result of the invention of studio mixers.  Can you really think of where we would be right now in terms of music without them?
