Cd turntables > Info > Technics turntables Technics turntables
Technics is the most popular brand, and is considered the industry standard, and even though there are some other brands which are considered “acceptable,” but Technics turntables tend to be considered the most professional. Some of the differences you'll notice are the appropriate level of sensitivity when you're working with your turntable. Among the models available is the Mark 2, which came out in the 80s and has been the best selling Technics table of their history, and which is still highly sought after. All the major Technics models are direct drive turn tables, not belt driven, so you're not going to get the distortion or lower quality of the belt driven. Remember, the speed of reaction for a direct drive is going to be far more what you need in order to get the feel for the music you're mixing. If you do a search for Technics turntables, you'll get a general feel for the exact features of each model, and if you would like to get an idea for the sound and capabilities, just do a search on YouTube for Technics. DJs demonstrating their skills on their own Technics models (and often screaming about how you should use Technics turntables as well) will give you a general idea for the capabilities and actual sound that these things can produce. |
